Our company has worked hard to implement new COVID-19 safety protocols in our operations to help protect our guests, staff, and the local community. With these new protocols, we have some new guest policies that help to keep us all safer.
Required Face Covering
No mask? No cruise. In accordance with the County of Kauai law, all passengers and our staff are required to wear a face covering (face mask, bandana, face gaiter, etc.) during their tours. Your mask or face covering must cover your nose and mouth and only be removed while eating, drinking, or during water activities. Mask exceptions apply only to children under the age of 5. This is for the safety of our community, guests, and employees.
We highly recommend guests bring their own face covering with them to our tours. If you forgot your mask at home, we have them available upon request.
Required Temperature Check and Health Screening
At our office, all passengers and staff will undergo a temperature check and health screening before being allowed in the office. For the safety of our guests and staff, any guest experiencing a temperature of 100.4 degrees and higher and/or experiencing symptoms will not be allowed to visit us at this time and will either be refunded or able to reschedule for a later date.
Social Distancing
While we have incorporated social distancing in our operation, we also ask that guests work to maintain a social distance (6 ft or more) from other guests while on the property throughout boarding, de-boarding, and boat tour when possible. To ensure appropriate social distancing, we are giving you extra space onboard our boats as we operate at reduced capacity and in our office we will be limiting the number of people.
Personal Safety
Safety is always our top priority. We have revised our onboard service with added deep and regular cleaning on our vessels to exceed CDC guidelines, including physical cleaning with EPA-approved disinfectant. Additional hand sanitizer stations are available throughout our office and the vessels for your safety.
The CDC recommends our staff wear gloves for cleaning, taking care of anyone who might be sick, or handling trash – but not for normal duties. We will continue making sure our crew have the proper gear and guidance to ensure top-notch hygiene.
Travel Requirements
If you have arrived to Kauai by traveling from out of state, all guests must be in compliance with the pre-test travel program or complete the state mandated 14 day quarantine. Please be prepared to show your negative test results.
In efforts to keep our Kauai community healthy and open to visitors, Blue Dolphin Charters strongly encourages visitors to complete voluntary the post-arrival test. We are offering 20% discount on retail purchases to passengers that can show proof of this negative test result.
